These thumbnail sized flowers are produced by a low-growing ground cover and aren't very noticeable among the greenery. I could see they had a good amount of complexity and might photograph well, especially wet. The rain was starting to come down heavy at this point and this is one of the last shots before I'd had enough. Got thoroughly drenched on the way back to the car, but the camera gear's fine. Next time, an umbrella.
