The straw flower is gorgeous and the addition of the ant makes this a real winner.
Superb shooting !

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Thank you both, I'm happy you liked the shot. Some plants and flowers are like a small city, with so much life on them. And others, like this one, only have an occasional wanderer passing by. But it's also these particular ants that have decimated the ecosystem. They attack everything and are relentless. What- ever can't get away from them is swarmed and killed, all the way up to baby birds. They exist on almost every continent except Antarctica, and are virtually identical everywhere, as though they're all from one supercolony.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
