This animal is obviously related to Seahorses, but has developed "leafy" appendages to help it conceal itself from predators. Nature is amazing in its diversity. Sorry the photo is not really sharp, but it was shot through very thick glass.

The brighter green foliage in the upper right is real. The darker yellowish-green "leaves" in the foreground are part of the animal.

Regardless of clarity, this is still a captivating photo. Weedy (or Leafy) sea dragons are among my favorite sea creatures. They are one of my favorite subjects to paint, because they capture the imagination so easily. Nice shot!
