St Andrews had a fire (while the roof was being repaired) in 1736 after that the main building was abandoned — there are a few open air service `s there every year

Interesting ruins. I like how the plants have started growing around the edges and in the crevices. A perfect shot for a gloomy sky. Thanks for sharing it!

Great capture of this very old and abandoned church....sad skys above because of it, but lives "grows" on with the lush green grass below...

I'd love to wander this one and the stones in front of it. The gothic arch has to be one of mans sturdiest engineering marvels. A lot of detail left in this one and I love the growth atop the walls. Appropriately gloomy day as well, does wonders for the mood.
