What a fascinating castle, Steve! The detail in here is wonderful. It's hard to escape the perspective shift when shooting at this angle. A one-degree left rotation helped a bit. Good one! :)
Judging by the lamppost on the right-hand side, it's either early morning, going toward twilight, or just a very heavily overcast day that is obscuring the sun (judging by the cloud cover) I agree with ResDesOK and alby58 in their assessment of the angles and the details, as well as the strength of the overall effect this castle gives the viewer. The muted colors throughout work well with this theme of sturdiness. Unfortunately, the clarity is blurred or obscured by the lack of light, so a lot of the wonderful stone work is lost :( But I'm enjoying the composition and the sheer ruggedness of this imposing structure. It must have been awe inspiring as you stood viewing it :)PJ
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
