Oh my God!... I... I just can't believe it. did you came from another world?! Are you an Elve or something?! This is so sureal and peacefull! I'm speechless there.
there's so much serenity and melancholy. I can"t stop looking at it. you are a very talended photographer! that's all I can say...
Hahaha! no Elve.......but i´m surrounded by this beautiful nature, so i can´t resist the desire to take some photos...:-) and if you like it, it´s a bonus. Thank you very much Cain.
Thank you oldwolf, in fact it´s just 10 degrees below.
coowl, looks very nice, and cold, i like the ice and the mist at the background, makes me remind about a book i`ve readed, a few kids gone to a island in a bath, and came stuck, needed to spend days a the bloody cold. very nice pic
you can sure tell: there is one source of everlasting insipartion: mother nature
wow...how did I miss this one?! This is awesome....I have too many compliments on this one. I'm sitting in shock right now. I'll be looking at this one for a while. Amazing.
At first i was like eh just an island bt after a couple of good looks i sqw the bueaty of this picture..........The fog and the color of it reminds me of a special time in my town. This picture brings back some of my greatest memories
I´m really glad you like it...:-), thank you all. And yes it´s a great place to fish and for camping, swimming and relaxation, actually i have my cottage here...:-)
Not sure how I managed to miss this one before. Excellent image. Love the composition and the frosty colours. I know it's been said above, but it looks damned cold (and I thought it was cold in the UK!).

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is a society, where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar,
I love not man less, but Nature more
--Lord Byron
nice work.. did you take this yourself? ill add my critique though its a bit off center for having no surrounding detail to focus on.. the island is the main focal point yet its not centered to the surrounding semi frozen water
Thank you ThisIsMOC !
primevalofuo, thats one of the basic misstakes for the beginner to put the main object in center of the picture, in my taste it would ruin the picture. Thank you anyway...:-)
Wow this is really something. ...at first i didnt even notice the huge sheat of ice i thought it wasn't frozen ...this is awesome man ..1010 and in the favs. ..was it far away? The island? I can't tell.

My most famous image: Speaking Words of Wisdom
This is a really pleasing image. I especially like the leading lines that take you right to the main attraction. The fact that there is ice so clear amazes me. It also reminds me how cold and foreboding it can get here. I'll post an image taken in the Columbia River, of an Island surrounded by winter. I'll try to post it tonight. 10 x20 (wait a minute I can't go that high so,) 10 x10 and in my favorites.
what can i say....wow...woow...wooooow.....and btw...i agree that the biggest mistake people can make is putting objects in the center of the shot...it just bothers me for sum reason...and n e ways...the human eye never looks drectly at the center of the shot....always a little to the side...giving this picture amazing depth...congratulations on this 1...10/10 here and into my favs!!! :^D
Wow! Usually gray photos don't get much points out of me, but this one reminded me that I still haven't heard the ice "talking". Have you? They say it sounds all eerie, but majestic at the same time. One friend compared it to ents talking from the Lord of the Rings.
The compo is great in this, great lining and leading with the little snow on front.
10 Degrees below sounds about like my favorite winter temperature. Gotta love the severe stuff. This picture is very nice. It looks like it was very quiet out there with maybe the slight sound of a breeze. Maybe the creeking of some cold trees swaying back and forth slowly?
Looks like a very nice place to escape to. Very nice. Please keep posting more like this.
