What a huge creature! I love the detail in this photo and the mist in the background adds to the atmosphere. The framing works nicely to accentuate the main subject. Nice shot.

Great shot... love early morning photos... the mist and the moose good combination... both look peaceful.... good colour, lighting and composition.... great work
Hey Sam!! Gosh this is just gorgeous! What an animal! So glad you took this photo...the softness of the day really shows up his power even more..LOVE those antlers! Bravo!!!!
Oh wow however did you get this? When i went to Canada i was desperate to see a moose but were told they were very illusive creatures. It was true i only saw a dead baby one by the side of the road :( However, thanks to you i can finally fulfil my dream, even if im not in Canada anymore! Thanks :)

This image seems full of potential energy. The animal, resting seems ready to move at a moment's notice. He seems alert, yet unaware of the photographer's presence. The vertical aspect gives something to this image that I can't put my finger on, but it follows the natural lines in the image. The mist does a great job of isolating the subject away from background clutter, and giving loads of possibilities to the viewer. What lies just past the mists? You deserve a 10 on this image. It's damned near perfect.
What a wonderful photo, both on the technical and creative side. A magnificent creature caught in it's natural habitat. I find your borders are a bit of a distraction, though.
The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was, is lost, for none now live who remember it. -Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring
Excellent Samuel.....capturing this beautiful beast still bedded down is amazing. I love the mist. It adds something to the image that I cannot name, but I know I like it! Thank you :~)
Regmar nailed the review on this one I can only add that the vertical height of the trees works beautifully with the span of the antlers, so vertical was the best choice here. Also the pose of the beast with that massive back but the head turned, all of it makes a wonderful portrait.
