Mr. Neil Warnock ( born in 1948 ) is an English former professional footballer. Since becoming a manager in 1981 he has managed several English football league clubs including Huddersfield Town, Notts County, Plymouth Argyle, Crystal Palace and most successfully, an eight-year spell at Sheffield United of whom he took to the top tier of English football. He is now the manager of the London based Queens Park Rangers, and last night he brought the whole team down on tour to our little club Tavistock AFC for a pre season friendly game, which for us is the biggest money making game we have, the money we make from just this one game can run our club for a year, they are a real pro outfit with many international players, fit as they come, a great time was had by everyone in the ground, just a shame they totally stuffed us off the park, running out 8 – 0 winners, oh well, not to worry eh !!

Carn West Brom Albion, yaaaaaaaaaaaa. :) Kinda funky to hear those names, of the clubs, here, I normally only hear them on the BBC World Service footy coverage. It will be interesting to see what he does with the Rangers. There was some interesting commentary during the World Cup coverage, that suggested the stranglehold the Premiership clubs have on English football decision making is part of the reason the gap between the standard of the seasonal footy and the tournament footy is so big, part of the reason England have not performed well at the Cup in so long.

It is not "The powerful attack the weak." it is "The fearful attack what they fear."

Mark - You framed it as though it was hanging on the wall. It was an exciting day for your local club - to have an opportunity to play against premier players and to raise such significant funding. You captured a great candid of the manager and present it well. Thad

I don't know a whole lot about your football...but I do know that the opposition scoring 8 goals IS NOT GOOD. LOL.
