Throughout my chess playing years I have occasionally been into Correspondence Chess. These games are played by mail, using postcards, sending moves back and forth until a player resigns the game or is checkmated. Unlike over the board games, correspondence games can become almost works of art for the simple reason that you have up to three days to ponder a move...eliminating errors.
