Were surprised by a ton of snow last night, this tree in our backyard is really heavily laden with the white stuff, I don't think it will make it through another storm.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

I really like the way you captured this Scorpie! (or should I call you Nancy as my friend Patti above does?) It really is a pretty shot and you caught the light on it real well! Must have been a wet snow!? Nicely done! Hope the trees survive.

All that have commented have said the things I would have mentioned including Kidder stealing my idea about the wet snow...in fact, it almost looks like a spring snow with the clouds receding and the heavy snow weighing down the branches. Trees are pretty amazing, and I've seen them survive many times when I thought for sure they'd have to give, but it is one of Nature's ways of culling out the weak and making way for the strong..better that than having a weak branch fall on someone's head during a summer's breeze...now where did that idea come from..lol....very pretty shot, and I wish we had some snow here :)PJ
Wonderful capture of a special moment, Scorpie Your shot really brought out the sense of depth and soft details in this scene. I think the shot could be even better if you rotated the shot to make the fence almost parallel and cropped the image on the left side to move the tree away from the dead center of the shot. This shot is a great example of what can happen if you are in the right place and at the right time. Great shot...R
Beautiful Nancy...there is something magical in first snowfall and you have done great job in capturing this...that tree does seem to be leaning quite a bit...I hope you don't lose it...gerry.
