You are so lucky to get such beautiful birds in your garden Scorpie! Lovely capture of this one - what a lovely shade of green he is! You did great with the focus, blurring the background too!

I loved the view of the ruby throat on the first one, but this is clearer and closer up. Yes, they do look like dragon scales, but since birds are supposedly descendants of the dinosaurs, I suppose that's a pretty good description :)

Perfect Nancy, great focus and DOF, You are competing with me now. LOL. It is so hard to get them sitting still, when my shutter goes off they flinch, and I get a blurred photo. You did yourself proud here.
