These little red squirrels are so cute, but so destructive, this one is trying to ruin the feeder by enlarging the holes in order to get to the black oil sunflower seeds (which the yellow finches go ape over). I guess I will stop the feeders for the summer - I think I read somewhere you're not supposed to feed birds in the summer.

Oh, I had to save this one..the look on his face and the paw on the scene of the crime ...it's priceless. We had to take down our feeders for fear of the bears coming around looking for food. We had one that was even eating the feed corn we had around the yard for the squirrels and there were claw marks up a tree where last winter the suet was hung!! The only thing left there was the aroma. :)PJ

I started making pictures round about march 2006 and then stopped in feb 2007 because I sold my camera to Harm Gunnink who is also a member. I'am now saving money for the sony alhpa a100.

P.S. is it maybe possible if you have time to also give suggestion on how to improove my pictures but compliments are also good!

How perfectly you captured that expression!Try putting baffles on your feeder poles and move the poles away from fences and trees.You might miss a great shot - but it will solve your squirrel issues - and yes, you can feed birds all year round.:)
