I got this in the voting booth and gave it high marks...I love it! Your composition and perspective are excellent. When I saw it in the VB I thought, this reminds me of a summer camp...good guess huh? Using B&W makes it seem older and kind of nostalgic...with those cabins it looks like it could've been taken in the '50's :)

Hey Shayla,
Great picture, I see you had a lot of fun over there at that summer camp, (~8 8~)
Composition wise, the wide angle effect of your camera-zoom combination makes small moves to the right or the left change all sort of lines,
In this picture you're standing a bit on the left side pointing at the center, this makes everything in the back look good, but not so in the foreground, resulting in a non centered composition (the wooden 'bridge' starts a little higher on the right side),
I'm not sure if this is what you wanted to achieve, if not, I suggest either centering the picture completely by standing in the center with your cam, or using your tele setting (zoom in) and stand back, this way the wide angle effect disappears mostly,
Nicely done though, I love the B&W treatment,

Thanks for sharing

Tim

lol! well I was gonna make a comment, then I saw I would be almost repeating Tim. :P Other than it being SLIGHTLY (not horrible) uncentered, I really like the shot. :D

The reason that people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
