This Picture is made up from two photos,I took a photo of Bamburgh Castle, which I took at 10am.And joined it to a photo I took of a sunset in Berwick. Then used the Dodge and Burn tools in Elements to lighten the castle walls.I hope you like the finished picture, and any comments on how to improve this or any future works ,would be appreciated

This is a very attractive picture, thanks to your manipulations. You did a great job in adding that nice sunset. If I were you, I would have skipped that parking place with the bins. In my opinion, I would make the castle more authentic. But that is just a detail, you get high marks from me!

Bob is gonna be jelous when he sees this. Who is going to win this castle war between the two of you? This is great. I love the dodging and burning on the castle walls. It's almost as good as how much Bob is gonna burn when he spots this baby. You will have to dodge him if you want to live. Like the sunset. It looks as natural as it can be and looks like it belongs there. There is only one thing missing...well, two things...big white birds that talk. Run while you can Brian.

While I agree with all the guys speaking above and before me I would only like to add that once you are busy with skipping things from here - please let us also get rid of the lit lamps which are just redundant. Only because of the lamps I voted as low as 9/10 ! LOL
Seriously thank you very much for sharing this supreme beauty with all of us.

Great melding, I thought @ 1st that it was one image w/ other tweaks done to it. The dodge/burn effects give it a spotlit feel that really shows it off. Very nice job

Excellent Image, and even better post work!
Another thing I'd have dealt with is the antenna on the top of the castle, but I just wish I had something as wonderful to photograph in the first place!

Beautiful photograph. Exquisite job of combining photos. No improvement necessary. Although it is interesting that the front castle walls are "lighted" naturally and the sun is in the back.

Brian - Great work! Your image is a pleasure to behold. I did find myself not wanting to see so much foreground. Have you tried a little cropping to reduce the ammount of foreground? Thanks for sharing this fine work.

Hi, it's a nice manip you got here. It is well executed. The only problem I got with it is that the lighting on the castle looks fake given that it is strongly backlit by the sunset. I think darkening the castle would make it look more realistic.
Cheers,

Doesn't look right - 10am facing sun on the castle, and then backlit by a sunset sky - it's a little too unrealistic for my tastes, and the merge can be seen at full size. Also perhaps going for a thirds split rather than in half would help bring more balance - it's nice to have a dynamic sky and also nice to have a foreground full of detail, but dangerous to try and give both equal space in a photo. Otherwise, the two separate elements both look promising, and I'd be interested to see the original shot of the castle. For those who don't mind unrealistic images, this would be a eye catching piece though.

This is a wonderful picture, as all seem to be. But one thing I noticed. As beautiful as "Bamburgh Castle at Night" is,
It's a little strange to see the lighting on the castle as such with the sunset you encorportatd behind the castle.
