The flash makes it a little too unnatural, but I love pictures of husky's I have a wolf gray malamute myself. Good old wolf creek pass...you must be a neighbor. I think you could tone down the flash in Photoshop pretty easily. But the best way I know is to create grayscale density mask from the image itself and use that to tone down the brightest parts of the image.

OMG I LOVE THIS. I LOVE THE DOG AND I REMEMBER I REQUESTED A PHOTOGRAPH LIKE THE ONE YOU HAVE HERE. I FORGOT WHO I REQUESTED IT TO BUT I SAID I WANTED A ALASKIAN MALAMUTE OR A SIBERIAN HUSKEY IN THE SNOW. WELL ANYWAYS ITS GREAT I LOVE IT. I LOVE THOSE DOGS THEIR EYES ARE SO CAPTAVATING. ANYWAYS GREAT JOB.
Thanks for the beautiful pic. I own a Siberian Husky and she's absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately many people here in Australia bought Huskies after seeing them in a movie, but when the pups began growing (and they ARE a handful) many people decided to dump them.....My Husky came from kennels who rescue dumped Huskies.
thats a very amazing pic. consider the flash on the falling snow luck it looks really cool and thats such a pretty dog ill bet it was freezing there anyways good work
a great background for this image.. it seems there is another world there.. far, far away... and the background along with the rest of the white snowy image makes a great contrast with its black hair..
i must say, this husky has beautiful and almost magical blue eyes! what a brave look in his eyes, indeed. also, you made a very detailed shot.. good work!
this is certainly a keeper.. high marks from me and enjoy your day :)
This is a wonderful image. This is great work. I love the shot of the dog, the eyes are human like. Unique picture, glad that you were able to capture this.
I guess I'm not the only one who likes this hunh. I grew up far north ( like close to Hudson bay and Churchill Manitoba, Canada) with winter 6 months long and with the other seasons being a joke of cold rainy weather. Huskies were always around. My neighbors had a Husky with one green eye and one blue. Stunning animals and so wolflike in apperance. This is a stupendous example. Great work, it really captures the details and stark beauty of this species!
