I also was impressed by this in the VB. Great lines and angles and perfect for B/W There would be a great view from up there? Nice that visitors are able to go inside.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Fantastic shot, John! Looks like a winner to me. I'll have to put the Peninsular on my list of day trips out from sunny Northland as I've never been there.... yet!
I like your perspective as well as the geometrical patterns created by the objects, lighting, & shadows. Excellent contest entry, John ... best of luck.
There's something about this shot that's of good quality; clear and not oversharpened. It's easy on the eye, as well as drawing your attention to the strength of the structure. The 'best bit' of course is the textured ring, with more rings beyond. Good luck in the contest!
Just wanted you to know that I am now trying to decide amongst the submitted entries/images and their respective placing in this contest ... and yours is a strong contender.
People aren't going to remember the things you do. They're going to remember how you made people feel. Be kind, gracious, and appreciative.

The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
Black and white at its best. By showing it in B/W you take away the hard contrast between wood and metal and make it all about pattern and light play. Great piece of work
