Image of the bus on my campus. The repetition of the seats looked particularly intriguing to the lens of my camera. A man's foot can be seen in the highlight of the sun's rays.
This is a really good image. The focal point is exactly in the middle of the image, and the empty seats give a real feeling of isolation and loneliness. Your use of a shallow depth of field makes the background march off into nothingness - a useful addition to the overall impression of loneliness.
I can't make my mind up whether I think the shallow DOF is good or if I'd prefer slightly more depth. I do agree with Regmar that this is good work for sure. And it's original, which gets my vote any time here. I just think I'd have preferred the third seat up to be in focus as well as/instead of the second as that's where the eye lands when you first look at the image. But I'm nit picking, it's a good image as is.
I like such repetitions and/or patterns very much.
