Took this from the top of a hill in Northumberland west of Alnwick the hills in the distance are the Cheviots, to the left just out of shot is Edlingham castle (ruins) parts of this castle have been standing since 1174. I sat lonely on the top of the hill side waiting patiently for the show to begin, it didn't disappoint. Id just like to thank all of those who have taken the time to leave a comment I do appreciate it.

I didn't give it much thought until I looked at it full view...it really is amazing. There is so much to this picture. The hues are captured perfectly. Great, great shot! My new desktop!

I love the way these pastures look so neat and orderly...or maybe some of them are fields (but I do see a few white dots down there)... and the sky, in contrast, is so wild and free. What stories these hills could tell!

Give sorrow words. The grief that does not speak Whispers the o're-fraught heart, and bids it break.
