This is one of my shots from the Northumberland Lights series, I had a bit of a tinker in photoshop and duplicated the top half of the image to create this mirror effect, I also ran a couple of filters to give the effect of water in the reflection. I have added a small border at the bottom of the picture so it can be used as a widescreen desktop. All comments welcomed.
And a well done on the post processing/work you performed. Nice work, sincerely.
Suggestion..
Or, perhaps that of an inquiry as well.
The lower section that was duplicated. Did you change the opacity of that layer? As in, decreased the layer's opacity comparatively speaking?
Not sure if it a compositional thing that is not quite right to my eyes, or that of the reflection being near as bright as it's 'source' ... that is causing the visual conundrum of sorts on my viewing end.
Or, that of the reflected moon near the bottom frame. (Lil' too tight to frame and out of place, maybe?)
Sorry, I can't be more succinct (like that'll ever happen :oP) or more pointed in my above words.
First impressions are definitely along the lines of; 'ohhhh, nice..'.
Let's stick with first impressions, then..
'Nice work'.
I'll leave you to sort out the other thoughts above on the notes of 'some creative food for thought'. ;o)
