Got up early a good few weekends ago to capture the sunrise on the coast and it didnt happen, managed to get this before the weather got too bad. Im going to wait till the summer to try again.
Brilliant capture and love all the textures of all the rock, plus love those waves beyond. I think your try is marvelous and looking forward to your next attempt in the summer.
Love this, the smooth rounded rocks and the smoothed water kind of echo each other despite being such different materials. Contrary to your idea about waiting till summer I reckon the softer light you've got in this shot is your friend, my experience with moving water is that strong sunlight creates lots of totally burned thru spots where the sun "sparkles" off the water. Strong light being good for freezing motion but not for the kind of loveliness you've captured here.
You may have missed the sun but you didn't miss the shot! Gorgeous view! I am loving the long exposure of the waters movement, the dark earth tones of the rocks, and the way the incoming waves reach up to meet the moody gray clouds. Fave!
People aren't going to remember the things you do. They're going to remember how you made people feel. Be kind, gracious, and appreciative.

Beautiful subtle color tones. I too enjoy the smooth grey colors and details. The tones and elements compliment so well. Often I seem to be drawn to grey or clouded skies, this is pleasure to view. Saved.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . .
