Early morning clamber over the rocks in the pitch black low tide, thats the only way to get to the range finder, used my Hitech 10 stop ND and a Hitech 0.9 soft grad for this one, colour range was pushed in CS5. First real test with my shiny new D7000.

It really looks like it was worth the effort Bri. Sunrise colors are beautiful I have a D7000 and like it a lot.

Surreal and totally captivating colors. Fantastic contrasts of soft skies and rocks from the detailed rocks. Saved to enjoy more!

I like everything about this image with one caveat, an admittedly entirely subjective caveat, with the rock table dominating the centre of the image the image feels cramped or static to me, or more than it might with a slightly different composition. Of course, that might be exactly the quality you were after. :) The colour range is delicious, the contrast between the sharp texture of the rocks and the smokey-glass smoothness of everything else is also delicious.

A Mystical creation! Soft and sharp where required. The rock formation to the right seems like a crushed tortoise. Amazing work. Faved

Excellent in so many of the photography technique bullet points; focus, position, rule-of-thirds, light, color, subject, shutter speed, etc. A true wowzer and into my favorites. In my past Macs I had created a screen saver that had water as a feature of all 160+ photos. A copy of this one is definitely going into the saver. Now, head home and dry your feet in front of the fire.
