While shooting an old barn, I came across this tiny door, cut into one of the walls, still standing, and found it rather intrigueing.

i really like this.... makes me wonder what's inside and i love that the lock looks new while everything else is so old. (btw, i'm glad you called it "aged door" instead of "old." Gives it depth right there! :)

i think my favorite part about this picture is the contrast in the texture of the wood and the metal.

What's so strange about this photo to me is you could probably just kick the door in it's so old. The new lock on it would probably make some people wonder just what IS behind there?. Nice capture

Very nice image Doug! I love the textures and color, especially the grasses in the foreground. What could be behind that lock, maybe a childs secret treasures like a mossy rock, an old bone, and a rusty fish hook.....hummmmm.

I feel like I am fading. I've lost the Holy Ground. Maybe there's a chance, that the lost will be found. If you saw a possum on the side of the road, would you too?

Hey Doug...wow, the textures just jump out! Such a great difference between the weathered wood, the metal of the handle and lock and the grasses, plus some great shadows..the one thing that I guess I dont feel does this photo justice is this particular framing..I feel a simple black frame would have given the picture a lot more impact. But other than that I just think this is a wonderful photo. Verena
