This Red Squirrel, is the terror of the neighbourhood. He chases off all the Black or Grey squirrels, at least four times his size. If there's any free food, he's the king. We had been hand feeding peanuts to a Chipmunk, and he crashed the party. It scared off the chipmunks, but he wasn't quite as brave with mere mortals, and stayed close to a tree.

This is great & I love your narration. The squirrel does have the look of a troublemaker. I think he is eyeing his next party to crash. Very clear, great detail, & love the colors. Well done.

What a cute little guy! Sad to say, THAT is NOT a good place to hang out; too many get "fried" that way!

i'm just wondering, is the high grain in this shot intentional? in some shots i really like high grain, but not so much in this one, though other than that it's a great shot.

if at first you don't succeed, you're about normal.

I agree with Ian on the grain... It just doesn't feel very natural (as film grain or digital noise)... Otherwise, it's a very nice shot :)

Now how can a face that sweet be such a terror? Very well presented , you've managed to show the red of this little guy in great detail. Very good photo.

The grain (noise) is the result of extreme cropping(enlargement), ie, roughly
1/4 of the frame. I have filters to remove noise, but grain has never bothered me, as long as the image was sharp, and I just never thought of it. I've never used the noise filters, so I'll have a go, and see how they work. Thanks.

I feel like I am fading. I've lost the Holy Ground. Maybe there's a chance, that the lost will be found. If you saw a possum on the side of the road, would you too?
