Like the giant Saguaro, the Joshua Tree stands tall and proud, but in very few places,across the Southwest.
This is in the Southern extremes of the Mohave desert, in Joshua Tree National Park, Southeast California.
Very nice photo capturing the oddity of the plant and the starkness of the desert surroundings. Did you explore any of the old mining areas while you were in the park? We found them quite interesting.
