For any who are not familiar with mirroring, The original, is a single foreground Joshua tree, with a horizontal mirror image created. Then the additional land, as appears on the right hand side, was cropped from the left side, to make it appear a little less obvious. Next, a vertical mirror image of that cropped image, produced this result.

Interesting Doug. I like the color of the sky against the dark brush and the tree. I would like to see your original unmanipulated photo. I am a bit of a purest. ;)

Very interesting Doug. The Joshua Tree's look fantastic against that beautiful blue sky. I do like this mirror effect...pretty cool. I would love to see the original also. Great work.

Very cool, I'll bet you had fun doing this. If you put some sort of ripple effect on the bottom it really would look like a lake. Very imaginative.

Good composition and well balanced in terms of colors, contrast and saturation. Ther only thing that looks too unreal or a bit distracting for my taste is that "horizontal something" in the middle of your picture. But nevertheless a good creative concept which lead to this nice image. Thumbs up for this one...

If you have access to those I'd love to see just one of those ancient beauties against the sky. And if without the trees, that broad center band seems almost fractal.

Well, you're sure creative and went to alot of work for this image. I love all that mirroring you've done. The shades of the sky mirrored in the water are excellent. Wonderful clarity too. You get a 10 for this :>
