Driving from Presidio to Big Bend, Texas, I spotted this rock, in the hills above the road. Zulu and I climbed up to have a look, and found a rather scenic site. Just thought it appropriate, to include the desecrated rock, as it had invited me to the scenery, with a smile..

A great shot. Excellent clarity, beautiful colors (love that blue sky), & a nice added touch. This beautiful scene put a big smile on my face too. Well done.

Well at least someone had a sense of humor that was out hiking. So glad you and Zulu stumbled across this. The sky is beautiful and so is the scenery.

Excellent work Doug. Great sky and contrasting hills. I like the angle of the shot. Very, very nice.

Nice shot. I like the smiling rock and the scene is extremely sharp and well composed. Thumbs up, Doug.

I can't help but think of that ORIGINAL {not the remake} movie called: THE HILLS HAVE EYES.
Nice....cute, unique, and scenic.....but be careful! :)

Wow, you have a way with these beautiful desert scenes. I love the contrast of the deep blue sky against the muted tones of the sand and stone. This is wonderful!!

Great shot! It's exceptional when graffiti actually adds to the interest of a scene rather than being an ugly distraction. Here it adds a humorous touch, apparently the intent of the spray-can artist.

very nice -and unusual photo Doug. You've had ur F-stops set perfectly for this one as everything appears to be in focus -from the foreground to the background. Plus the foreground is surprisingly detailed. I like the shades of the sky too -did you use a filter or a photoshop effect or is it entirely natural? The face does completely change the mood of the photo to something I cant quite put my finger on! The hills certainly do have eyes! Good work my friend

Is the rock's name Wilson? It looks stranded in the middle of the desert...lol
Great shot!!

A little more cheerful than the dried up cow skull you normally find in such a place. It's so unexpected I think it definitely adds to the scene.

what a great vivid shot, so isolated, remote with untainted skies...and the graffiti? well, why'd it have to have a "smiley face"? I have a tribal thing towards smiley graffiti - sorry to be a curmudgeon, people, I will be silent now

still, snapshooter87, you do superior stuff
