Louis (Satchmo) Armstrong was performing in Detroit, and guested one of our TV shows, while in town.I grabbed a few shots of him on the set, but haven't come across the negs yet, and just shot a framed print I have, on the wall.. Again, it is a 1960's picture, and shot through non reflective glass, so the grain effect is a bit exaggerated.I did the tight shot, to accentuate the lips damage, from all those years of playing the trumpet/coronet.

Great shot! I never knew playing the trumpet would do that to you, even after many years...wow. I'd love to see your other shots of him once you get to the negatives.

A great shot Doug of this famous musician. You are so lucky to have met in person & Louis just happens to be one of my favorite music artists. Very well done.

At first I had to check your age. Yep you are old enough. Excellent caoture. I hope you have more like this. Great work. Respect!

Look how well you captured his soulful eyes!!!!! I can see so much in his eyes...expression is flawless! The grain/filter is artsy...I love this!

What a wonderful world! A kiss to build a dream on. Dream a little dream of me. And I love La vie en rose sung by anybody but Satch gives me chills! Yeah, if you've got jazz in your archives, I'm your girl!
