Southern Half of Buck Lake. After such glowing comments on the sunsets, I decided to climb to one of my favourite spots, and for the first time, with a camera. Don't know why I hadn't done it before, but I rarely have any special place in mind, when Blue and I start off on our morning hike, And he is usually enough to keep me occupied. Anyway, this is where I had the good fortune of finding my future home, back in 1979 Wasn't much then, and not much more, now, but scenery, tranquility and relative seclusion, within 25 minutes of the city. Definitely make it a wonderful place to live. If only I could get BROADBAND, I'd have everything.

This one has outstanding clarity just beautiful, the island looks like a barge with a load of trees. Great foto Doug. Dwight.

The emotions, the tears, of wasted years, wash over me like a cold wind out of the north. I tremble and shake, with each breath i take, and there's no one around me that cares. Dwight.

Beautiful. I can almost feel the curvature of the earth in this shot. Somehow the clouds and the water and trees just make me feel how the earth curves...well done!

Beautiful, Doug, you really know how to pick your spots. I wouldn't trade that for broadband, besides there's always satellite.

Gorgeous! The surface of the lake is smooth, and the trees are wonderfully captured. I like the blue sky also. Great shot!

The middle and the bottom part of this image is very impressive. Polarized looking water and the rocks make this image an interesting one. How ever the sky seems to be over contrasted which is quite a tricky to shoot. Maybe some bracketing or 2 image composition would do the job.

A fantastic crisp shot Doug. A most beautiful spot you have there next to the calm lake & all those gorgeous trees. I wouldn't trade this little piece of tranquility for anything. Excellent.

What a magnificent view, and you can have my broadband!
It is however a bit of a difficult picture to look at, because the contrast is to hard. Maybe next time lower the contrast on your camera when you shoot a scene like this or manipulate the photo in two pieces, sky / the rest.
Wonderful post!
