This is the first of the larger wildflowers to appear, each Spring. Unfortunately, they have a relatively short life span, and change colour , as that span nears the end.

I really like the way the clarity of this flower stands out against the blurred background. Very lovely.

This is a fine photo although I think it could have been cropped a bit to emphasize the lovely flower. It looks so fresh and like it is just opening. If it is not too late, another shot as it turn pink might be in order.
