I was filming a parade, in downtown Detroit, and this youngster never took her eyes off me. Always had a Leica around my neck, and just grabbed a shot, of that smiling,, inquisitive face, with the rest of the crowd, fully absorbed with the parade.

All of the children in this photo are so cute but the little girl really stands out in the crowd doesn't she? Love that expression on her face. What a great shot. Looks good in B&W.

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unawares

He he, this reminds me that everytime I go to church, there's a little girl that stares at me the whole mass. :))

Great shot Doug. Who knows, she may chance by here and recognise herself. :)

Doug, why do you suppose she was looking at you? Perhaps you had something in your teeth? ;-) I love people shots where they are not posed. Very well done. Did you selectively lighten her face?

She was thinking: Are you my Daddy!? You owe me child support!!!!!!! hehehehe
Very sweet. Wouldn't it be great if only you could see her again....and see how she turned out as an adult? Fascinating!

Hi Doug, incredible photo... composition, expression on girl's face and makes it more emphatic being in monochrome.. Really like this photo. Gerry....

Focus and connection in the middle of an oblivious crowd. I think you're being judged. Good opportunity for a candid.
