This little Lady Bug just happened to be crawling in and out of view, in the Iris I was attempting to shoot. This is one of a number I shot of the bug, but completely forgot to shoot the Iris on it's own.

Great macro, the dark backgroud brings out the flower well, and Lady bug just makes it better.

A fantastic close-up Doug. Sounds like you were concentrating on the ladybug .... which is great. Lovely colors & nice composition. I like it.

Another beautiful capture. I don't know which is the prettiest - the flower or the ladybug.

Great macro Doug. Wonderfully captured I love the contract between the colour of the ladybug and the Iris. It is an amzing coloured Iris. Cheers for sharing this with us

Beautiful. I love the texture of the flower. You should go back and find that flower again to get some shots of it alone. The ladybug also ads interest to this shot though. I like it.
