I found these Wild Irises, in what I thought was a most unlikely area. A small, relatively isolated swampy area. I'll certainly be looking for them earlier, nevt year.

A great capture Doug. A crisp & clear image of these beauties. I think sometimes flowers will grow just about anywhere they want to .... as long as all the nescessary nutrients are there. Great vibrant colors here too .... great job.

See I told you iris grow in a swamp. I think the muddy water is better for their complexion. This one is just glowing!

I've seen some of these recently where I live also Doug. Funny how I never paid any attention to them until I picked up a camera. These are a lovely purple shade and a nice capture.
