It may only look funny to me, hence the title. I came across this unusual, still live, Joshua Tree, rather bent out of shape, and a cartoon character shaped tree, as seen through the arch. It was still a nice sky, and surroundings, so I shot it.

Oh WOW Doug, this is really dramatic. It's got fabulous composition and the black border sure spits out those big puffy white clouds and makes that crooked tree stand out as well. Amazing photo so well done. Anita

Very Very nice. I'm glad you were there to take it. I love looking at it, esp the clouds, but I prefer climes a bit more well watered. Excellent shot :)

Great imagination on this one Doug ... and I'm talking about the angle you took on this not the cartoon character. Wonderful composing. Funny that boulder left center is what has my imagination going. Looks like a giant pig sunbathing. :) Goes to show how differently images strike others.

Everything is very defined in this capture, Doug. That's quite a difference from the hot springs image where everything flowed into each other. Good one, I like it.

IT looks like several cartoon characters. Sooooooooo cute, how you put this together, what a mind you have! I just adore how ya did it. Ya, I kinda thought of the boulder as a piglike little thing of some sort. I also like the shadows and the natural arch..a very well composed photo indeed...congrats my friend...verena

This is truely great, Doug! Such a gorgeous sky, and the rich colors provide a rustic feeling. Is that strange looking tree a Joshua tree too? Thanks for posting this :)

The sky grabs my attention Doug. How vivid it looks compared to the Joshua tree and surrounding boulders. I can see where your imagination could take off in this shot.
Nicely done.
