This is another variation, using the Moonlight filter, on a B&W conversion. I don't know if it actually constitutes a manipulation, as the image is intact, just filtered. If anyone knows where the line is drawn, I'd apppreciate knowing. Hope you enjoy this.

Another fascinating shot, Doug! This one looks as if it could almost have been drawn with pen and ink. Boy, these filters (or manipulations if you will) open up some great possibilities.

I think it's a manipulated filter. So it would go into the manipulated filter done in B&W gallery. It looks like one of the charcoal filters in $Photoshop$. Looks good.

I really like this one, too, Doug. It almost looks like threshold; is the term "high key" correct? I, too, never known where exactly that line is drawn but I would take this as a manip since the basic image was altered quite a bit. When I clone something distracting out, I don't take that as manip; I call it tweaking. If someone more in-the-know can tell us, I'd be grateful as well. Good job, Doug! - Patty

Full screen this definitely has a charcoal sketch look to it. Extremely clear in it's detail. Great eye appeal. As for the "manip" question, good luck with that one. There seems to be a wide chasm of opinion of as to what constitutes manipulation.
