Just running a Depth of Field check/test on what was then a new macro lens. This is a Eastern (Canada) Milk Snake. Actually quite a young one,only about 12 inches long, and the thickness of a pencil. If anyone's curious, it was shot with 108mm at f/4.0 focus on the eye.

I think I may have seen this character before.
Not a pet subject of mine (and definitely, not my pet!) but a fabulous close up all the same. Very fine work Doug.

Doug, I see you shot this at about the same angle as yesterday's mushrooms. Do you spend much of your day lying on your belly looking for subjects to photograph? A wonderful photo. And by the way, depth of field is pretty close to excellent.
