This highway runs along the Mexican border, between Terlingua and Presidio, Texas. At the bottom of the hill you can see a small portion of the Rio Grande, which separates the U.S.A. from Mexico. Everything in the background, including the sky, is in Mexico. It's a lovely scenic drive, should you survive the Hill.

This reminds me of some of the hills around here. I'd hate to think what would happen if it snowed there. The morgues fill up pretty quick in these parts when it drizzles.

On a happier (and more relevant) note, this is a very pleasing scene. It's well constructed and doesn't have any noise in the sky like I always have in mine when it's as clear and blue as this. I see there's a double yellow line which puzzles me because I'd say this is a perfect place to pass since there are obviously no vehicles approaching in the other lane. LOL.

I'm not afraid of dying. I just don't want to be there when it happens.

If the hill doesn't get you, then one of those rocks might come tumbling down on you! The praying seems to be good advice. It's a gorgeous view and you have done it full justice.

An interesting perspective and view in your photo. Nice textures in the rock walls and a lovely smooth blue sky. Good work!

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.

I remember that road! When my family and I were on a trip to Tuscon, my mother wanted to travel on some scenic road, and I can remember that exactly!! Great job!! ;)

And here I thought I was the only reckless fellow on Caedes taking photos while driving. Glad you succeeded in staying on the right side of the road. It looks like the light was perfect for this shot and the textures read very well. That little light blue daub of Rio Grande makes a delightful highlight. I've driven similar hills on trips up the north shore of the St. Lawrence River to Sept Iles, sometimes with the added thrill of winter ice.
