A pair of Day Lilies with the softest and most subtle tones I've ever encountered.

Beautiful shot, Doug.

Like your composition, colours are wonderful and natural.

Caveats?

More of a suggestion, really ... perhaps, try taking down the purplish bloom located at the mid line point, right-hand side down some? Slight distraction. ('Slight' being the operative word/descriptor.)

And in turn, as my eyes see it ... and of course, in my humble opinion ... replicate (to an extent) the background found in the upper left-hand side. Might work towards that of isolating these beauties some more and that you captured so well.

Took your image here up to the highest resolution ... still exquisite on the note of image quality.

And once again, but of course ... thank you for sharing your work with us. This viewer appreciates you doing so .. very much. :o)

p.s. +favs for me.

Doug, the soft color of these lovelies is so pleasing to the eye, soft but with very good detail. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Oh my, what a gorgeous photo! You've conveyed that 3-D effect again. Not only are the colors magnificent but you've focused on specimens in optimum condition. I'd agree with the above comment about the purplish bloom mid-point at right because if a darker background could be substituted it would set off that petal so dramatically. As it is the mauve color somewhat smothers the petal's outward thrust. The come-hither look of those stamens almost makes me wish I was a bee. I said almost. :-)

Doug, I'm starting to sound repetitious to sound repetitious, but this is a beautifully composed shot. Technically I can't find anything wrong. If I saw this in the VB, I would award it a 9 except for "the purplish bloom located at the mid line point, right-hand side". Because of that glaring screw up, I would be forced to give this maybe a 2.

I'm not afraid of dying. I just don't want to be there when it happens.
