The clarity and detail in this shot is amazing, Doug. I love the contrast of the delicate wing patterns and the wood beneath. A truly beautiful shot, and I noticed that the subject is offset to the left to create a more interesting composition.

I see you are an aficionado of the wide-screen image. I know this is a good photo but, not being very sympathetic toward bugs, it's hard for me to be objective. For what it's worth, the composition and colors are great but the busy background rules supreme. I do enjoy the wide-screen framing and will be sure to emulate it.
