I hadn't planned on posting this, but thought those interested might enjoy seeing the amount of turbulence in such a short stretch of stream. And it ends just about 50 feet behind me in a large placid backwater pond. Yesterday's post was a crop of about 35% to 40% of this image.

I like the icy feel to this scene & by the motion of the water I'd say it was moving rather fast. Nice lighting too. Glad you posted this one Doug ... very well done.

I think this is another marvelous capture, great water action, those are some heavy duty rapids. I really like the postwork as well. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Is this where you bathe, Doug? The water looks very inviting (if you're a polar bear). Out of curiosity, how did you get this shot? I'll assume that you're on a bridge since I don't think you would risk your camera.

This is just as good as yesterday's version inasmuch as I fell over backwards again and hit my head. With this wider view, the water doesn't dominate the shot quite as much. Do you get spring and summer where you live?

I like the realistic dynamic look of the water. I'm not a fan of waterfall photos where the water looks like falling smoke. This one catches superbly the water's true vibrancy. It may be the calibration of my monitor but the colors look just a tad too strong. Let me see if I can adjust my monitor here ... ok, now ... oops. Hello? Anybody there?
