Another of the wooden silo and part of the original homestead, with a bit better lighting on the old silo.

This one is far better than the other. I like the composition, the color and the detail. The hay and silo look great.

I like this closer view too as I'm still very fascinated by the silo. Colors, contrasts, & textures look great. Very well done, Doug.

Doug, I hate to disagree with the kind folks above, but you know how I felt about "Hay There", which I'll assume is part 1 of "Harvest the Sun 2". This posting gets very high marks but in my humble opinion is inferior to the original posting. The first posting is still a fave for me.

While this shot is a Class A- beauty, "Hay There" is obviously Class A+. I think the peekaboo of the barn on the left throws off the balance of the shot. The first shot soloed the beautiful silo brilliantly. I also preferred the silky texture of the grass in the first one. Additionally, the colors were preferable in the first posting.

I'm not afraid of dying. I just don't want to be there when it happens.

I'll venture my opinion that this shot is better than 'Hay.....,there!' My reasons: There's more of nature to enjoy. The first photo showed an interesting grid of hay rolls but did not convey the charm and color variations of this photo.
