For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, His eternal power and Godhead;... Rom 1:20
You said it all, Doug, in your short narrative. I looked up "tranquil" in my dictionary and found this posting. Imagine the odds of that happening.
This is another well composed landscape with glorious colors and some out buildings crammed full of character. The sky doesn't seem to indicate much of a break in the clouds, but the shadows indicate otherwise.
I probably would have stepped forward a few feet to eliminate some of the foreground and chopped off the partial tree on the right. The next day I would have received an email from you showing me this configuration.
There is something eerie about this scene, as though the landscape and the sky do not belong together. I understand a break in the clouds accounts for it but I think the odd effect is caused by the light and shadow on the clouds appearing very subdued in contrast with the strong shadows on the land. Other than that I do enjoy the appearance of the landscape, especially the highlighted barn roof at left which seems to me the center of interest.

A pleasant country scene ... I like the variation of green tones. The weathered buildings add alot of character on the sloped hillside. Nicely composed too ... very well done, Doug.
I really like your series of these weathered buildings and the wood color, texture and age is very impressive. Thanks again for sharing your photos and knowledge.
