Part of a small border garden at the edge of one of the lanes Blue and I frequent on our walks. I noticed all the sparkling snow as we approached, and the way the drifting snow had formed around some rather hardy plants. It reminded me of a desert oasis and sand dunes, hence the title.

The blue shadows are beautiful. At first I thought I was looking at toy trees from a model railroad in the snow. The grace and sparkle is elegant and very captivating. Congratulations on an excellent shot.

Good eye to spot this scene & the title is perfect. It does resemble a desert oasis from afar. I love how the snow glistens ... much like sand on a sunny day. Beautifully captured, Doug.

Doug, your wandering eye has paid off again. 99% of us would have walked right passed this shot without even noticing. Once again it's a beauty of a posting. I'm happy to see that you arrived before Blue could leave any yellow snow behind.

Doug, it is a wonderful photo. The pristine snow and twiggy plants to me look like a forest scene. Your eye for the unique was working and your camera skills finished the job.
