Nothing has moved here for years so I thought "Still Life" was appropriate. Marathon sits at a T junction of #90 and #385, which takes you South into Big Bend National Park, and the Mexican border. Just a gas station, and a tiny cafe with two tables, but the hamburgs were great, and the cook and wine were equally pleasant.

Looks like a 5-star hotel to me, Doug. I can't remember the last time I saw so much rust. Even the wood looks rusted. Now I know that my chair is missing a caster, but it looks like the whole scene is leaning to the left except for the far left side of the building. A very busy photo indeed with lots to look at and admire.

I'm not afraid of dying. I just don't want to be there when it happens.

i admire the unnatural look of the clouds, compliments the busy and rusty scene of the main protagonists (things of rust). Rust is an interesting process actually and tells a story, appreciate the capture. Merci

Lovely post photo work on this image. I like the perspective of the shot and the odd angle of the garage. Nice bright colours and textures.

Those small places always have the best food & service it seems. Lots for the eyes to take in & I'm sure someone could find some interesting items, especially in the open garage. Superbly captured, Doug.
