Just an old barn that's still in good shape, but could use a little TLC.

A nicely composed shot and great capture of this beautiful scene. I like the sharpness of the image foreground coupled with the softness of the background.

We have lots & lots of old barns in Minnesota, though I'm sad to say most are not in good as shape as the one in this scene. Perfect angle to show off the barn's rustic features. I like the mix of summer & fall colors too. Excellent country capture, Doug.

Well, Doug, I took the liberty of downloading this jpg file because something looked weird to me. I'm forever trying to figure out how you come up with such diverse and glorious images, and I hoped that a thorough review in detail of this shot might tell me something.

Starting with the foreground greens and orange brush, it's possible to count the individual pixels at 200% magnification. I would assume that means that the area is sharpened to the max. or that the Caedes compression process messes with the image. I can count the pixels on the trees on the left as well. However, the individual pixels are visible in the barn and especially in the sky. I assume that you applied blurring to the sky - especially the clouds. The barn roof really has me stumped. The colors are beautiful but there is no detail whatsoever. In fact, a portion of the roof of the left side seems to have bled slightly into the sky or a background tree.

The orange foreground at normal magnification looks like a field of flowers. The sky seems other-worldly as if I'm looking into a world out of a child's story book. There are splotches of color on the side of the barn that reminds me of oil painting with a palette knife. Whatever you did, the resulting effect is staggering. This posting is pure artistry.

I'm not afraid of dying. I just don't want to be there when it happens.

I see you were in my stomping grounds, September is one of my favorite months here in Minny. The greens and the fall colors are mixing and you caught that well in this photo. Nice One!
