Considering there are no WARNING signs indicating the potential of Falling Rocks, I assumed I was hallucinating, and stopped for a break. It was downhill and behind me that I stumbled upon the buildings of the Contrabando movie site, that had been left intact when production ended. As for the title, these "Rockies" are in the Big Bend country of Texas, right on the Mexican border.

how can one use letters, words or prose against its own institution? is it not to say that this accepted alphabet can portray intolerable thoughts against itself; the reflection of these words represent the meaning of ones mindless inquiry, generalizing became this text. . .read the marks behind a letter of assurance/ freedom is jailed within. . ." _ EaB

Quite the uphill battle you have in front of you. An interesting and textured landscape with a bit of colour thrown in.

We drove a road from Telluride to Ouray over a place like this. Gnarly! Then at the top there was some snow. We kind of sank a little bit. I love the slanted road and car and the detail and color of the rocks.

Wow! One little earth tremor here and it's off to the body shop we go, huh? Not to mention the bone repair shop. I think what happened here is they couldn't get anyone to dare hammer a warning sign into the ground. Besides the massive potential for rock and roll, I'd even be worried about the road's retaining wall disassembling. It's an eye-grabber of a photo.

They're putting in freeways everywhere, Doug. This looks like there are - what maybe 4 lanes in each direction?

That's a treacherous looking climb. How bold of you to park your truck there, run down the mountain with your camera and snap these shots all for our benefit.

By the way, you must have an enormous bin. Am I experiencing bin envy?
