Caught this big fella with an itch that needed scratching. It was at a pond in a place called Oak Glen, and was part way up Big Bear mountain, in Southern California.

Probably caused by some chemical additive in the water. He should see a podiatrist about the problem. An interesting capture Doug. I like the ripple pattern in the water and the lighting. The focus seems a little soft on the wing feathers compared to the rest of the photo. Good work.

aw, that's how my puppy used to scratch himself (we always made fun of him). cute picture, i'm enjoying the sharp ripples as well, contrast to the light and fluffy feathers, and well the humor.

Nice action capture Doug, and I like the water ripples, the only thing about this one is the water looks off color to me. Tigs♥ =^..^

That could be the first double jointed, contortionist swan I've seen all day. Very nice presentation and good use of revive colors.

You sure do get around. I'm surprised that you found these ducks near Big Bear. Nice shot of duck in motion.

Perfect timing on the duck's position, Doug. I like the rippled water as well. Superbly captured.

Are you sure he wasn't mooning you? Good contrasting colors and of course the ripples putting the duck in a bull's eye works very well.

If I could only bend my neck like that, I could probably get rid of that kink. Nice shot here Doug.
