This is a wonderfully focused shot of this heron on your dock except that there's some focus blur near the bottom of the back of his neck. The depth of field is excellent. As you already know, the composition is spot on. Normally I would say that the pink dock in the background is slightly distracting, but including it in the shot is essential. In a perfect world you could have rowed a boat over there and painted it gray.

Good composition and coloring. I think I agree with the comment about the pink dock in the background, but instead of painting it gray I suspect it might benefit from a dark red treatment to repeat the dark red panel below the heron.

Good clarity and focus in your photo, with the exception of the soft spot on the neck. A nicely composed scene with good lighting and dof.
