Probably not their proper name, but that's the only name I've ever known for these tiny and unusual shaped flowers. They are among the earliest to bloom in this area. I hope to get a better shot when I don't have to lay down on rain soaked ground.

This one's an "artistic" shot, Doug. Love the colors and the composition. I'm not sure how you created this effect, but the effect is effective which is what an effect should be.

Unusual flowers, I don't recognize them, chances are I've walked by them many a time out in the forest. A nicely composed photo and good colours in the scene. The white seems a little over-exposed, losing the details of the flowers. Nice work, Doug.
