Just driving home from my nearest village, and spotted this young lady nibbling on the grass and tiny flowers. Blue, looking out the other window, missed her, so I turned around and went back. Blue barked his "hello' and she never moved while I grabbed a few shots from inside. Then, she just flicked her tail and pranced away. The backlighting's a bit harsh, but the ears are worthy compensation :-).

She definitely is a watchful deer ... they get so curious at times, but then can run off in a split second. I don't think the backlighting is too harsh ... kind of creates a spotlight around the doe. Love those perky ears. Superbly captured, Doug.

She looks a bit on the heavy side. A nice capture of the doe. Looks like a bit of vignetting was applied to reduce the backlighting.

Nice one Doug. The contrast of the greens and the deer really caught my eye when I opened this photo.

Translucent ears! Who woulda thunk it? I have two families of deer living on my property. Actually there are two mothers and four babies. The fathers are either at work or more likely at a local bar hoisting a few. The two families just walked passed my window which reminds me that I have to wash that window. Ollie greeted the deer with a low growl which they would have ignored if they had heard it. While deer instinctual react by running from potential danger, it's pretty hot today. And the deer have learned that Ollie poses no real danger since they the Moms spend more time chasing Ollie than the other way around.

Nice job handling the backlighting. A well constructed image. Should be a winner in the VB.
