I know you've been telling me for quite some time to look around for different angles and perspectives. Depending on the weather, I lie down or kneel or stand up. I know I'm supposed to try to notice shots that aren't always obvious. I probably still would have trampled this beautiful and colorful scene while looking for a bird to shoot. I rarely look straight down except during tarantula season.
Lesson Learned. Right below my feet is a veritable smorgasbord of colors and textures. This is the best looking compost pile I've seen in my life. Love the textures - especially on those weird looking mushrooms. When I saw the title, I wasn't sure what to expect. This never crossed my mind, but it's a great title for the shot. Your narrative is rather verbose and obtuse. Hard to follow the intricacies of your logic. Sounds like one of those dialogues from Plato.
I think this might make a better jig saw puzzle than a desktop shot. You found your rainbow right under your feet.
Doug - I'll have the dressing on the side of my salad! I suspect some layering with different merging styles in this image; the vibrant colors and different lighting are most interesting and appealing. Thad
